  • What time shall I arrive at the venue?

    Please arrive at the venue at 8:45am. This course finishes at approx. 5pm every day.

  • What are the pre-requisites?

    There are no qualifications or experience required prior to attending this course. However, to apply to take the CISA exam, candidates must have a minimum of five years professional experience in the information systems management field. Delegates are welcome to take and pass the exam and gain experience later – as long as it is within the first five years. This is an acceptable practice but CISM designation will not be given until all work experience requirements are adhered to.

CISA Certified Information Systems Auditor

Introduction

During this course, delegates will learn about how to develop and deploy information systems, as well as how to protect information assets and plan auditing processes.

 

This training provides delegates with the knowledge and skills required to successfully pass the ISACA CISA examination.

 

CISA is a certification for IT professionals who audit and manage systems and security. It showcases the delegate’s skills and experience in Systems Auditing and is recognised globally. Certified Information Systems Auditor has been created by ISACA who also provide the CISM & CGEIT certifications.

 

Pre-Requisites

There are no qualifications or experience required prior to attending this course. However, to apply to take the CISA exam, candidates must have a minimum of five years professional experience in the information systems management field. Delegates are welcome to take and pass the exam and gain experience later – as long as it is within the first five years. This is an acceptable practice but CISM designation will not be given until all work experience requirements are adhered to.

 

Upon passing the exam, candidates must submit verified evidence of their information systems work experience. If candidates have, for example, only three years’ experience they can substitute this experience for other qualifications or work;

 

A degree in a relevant field

Financial or Operational auditing experience

General Information systems experience

Course Structure & Content

Certified Information Systems Auditor is an intensive four day course with instructor-led classroom learning. This course is packed with information about practices for database administration, what to do in an IT related disaster and how to monitor system performance and capacity.

 

The exam is not included in this course but can be booked separately. It takes place three times a year in June, September and December. It lasts four hours, consists of 200 questions and has a pass mark of 450/800.
